The 8.33kW Hybrid Solar Power System is built for large homes and commercial premises facing two problems at once high electricity bills and frequent power cuts. It solves both: like an on-grid system it exports surplus power to the grid for net-metering credit, and like an off-grid system it stores power in batteries so the building keeps running when the grid fails. It generates around 1,100 units per month.
How the system works
When sunlight falls on the solar panels, DC power is produced and converted to AC by the hybrid inverter. That power is put to three uses at once: it runs your load directly, it charges your battery bank, and any surplus is exported to the grid through a bidirectional (net) meter, which counts the units you send out against the units you draw so your bill is calculated on the net. When the grid is healthy, you run largely on solar and settle a much smaller net bill with BESCOM. When the grid fails, the system switches automatically onto stored battery power so your lights, equipment, and essential loads keep running while a plain on-grid system would shut down completely. At night, you run from battery and grid as needed.
Is this system suitable for you?
This system generates around 1,100 units per month on average, depending on the weather. Check your latest electricity bill: if your monthly consumption is around that figure and you need power through outages, this 8.33kW hybrid suits you. At this scale it serves a large villa, a commercial premises, a clinic, or a small business anywhere an outage means real disruption or lost work, not just inconvenience. If your grid supply is reliable and only the bill troubles you, a plain on-grid system at the same capacity costs considerably less and pays back faster; the hybrid earns its premium only when the backup genuinely matters.
Sizing the battery is the decision that matters. At this capacity the bank is a substantial investment: undersized it dies before the outage ends, oversized it is capital sitting idle. Tell our team which circuits must stay live, at what load, and for how long your outages typically run, and we will size it against that rather than a round number.
SolarClue is India's managed solar marketplace. We deliver this as a fully managed installation: our team confirms the 8.33kW hybrid matches your consumption and backup needs and will tell you honestly if a cheaper on-grid system would serve you better then sizes the battery bank, handles net-meter liaisoning with BESCOM, and coordinates supply, installation, and commissioning through verified partners.
