The 2kW On-Grid Solar Power System is a home rooftop system generating 240 to 300 units per month, designed to cut your electricity bill by generating your own power and exporting the surplus to the grid.
Who this system is for. If your monthly electricity consumption runs between 240 and 300 units, this system is sized to cover it. It runs your everyday household load lights, fans, TV, fridge, laptops, mobiles directly on solar during daylight hours. Check your latest electricity bill: if your monthly units fall in that 240-300 range, this is the system that matches your usage. Higher, and you want a 3kW; lower, and a smaller system saves money.
How an on-grid system works, and how you get paid. When sunlight hits the panels, they produce DC power, which the inverter converts to the AC your home uses. Your appliances run on it directly during the day. When you generate more than you consume, the surplus flows to the grid; at night, when generation is zero, your home draws from the grid as usual. A bidirectional (net) meter counts both directions the units you take and the units you send back and your bill is calculated on the net. If you have consumed more than you generated, you pay for the difference; if you have generated more, the credit carries forward. Over a month and a year, that net metering is what turns your roof into a running reduction on your bill.
The subsidy is what makes the economics work. Under PM Surya Ghar, residential rooftop systems in this capacity range qualify for a central government subsidy that significantly reduces the net cost. The sticker price is not what you pay the price after subsidy is. SolarClue handles the entire subsidy process: eligibility check, application, DISCOM coordination, and payout. Tell our team your consumption and location and we will show you the net cost after subsidy and the payback period, not just the system price.
SolarClue is India's managed solar marketplace. We deliver this as a fully managed installation: our team confirms the system matches your consumption, handles your PM Surya Ghar subsidy application end to end, and coordinates design, structure, wiring, net-meter liaisoning with your DISCOM, and commissioning through verified partners. You book with a token payment rather than the full amount upfront. Talk to our team for the current price after subsidy and the installation timeline in your city.
