The Racold 200L Heat Pump Water Heater is an air-source heat pump sized for domestic use, heating a 200 litre tank naturally to 55°C and electrically to 70°C, with a magnesium anode rod and Titanium Plus tank coating for hard-water corrosion resistance. It carries a 5-year tank and compressor warranty.

How it saves money. A heat pump draws heat from the surrounding air and transfers it into the water, using electricity only to move heat rather than to generate it directly. With a power output of 2600W from an input of just 720W, this unit delivers roughly 3.6 times more heat energy than the electricity it consumes which is why running it costs a fraction of a conventional electric geyser. Over the life of the unit, that efficiency gap is the whole case for a heat pump: same hot water, far lower bills.

How it works day to day. The heat pump naturally heats water to 55°C using air alone. When you need hotter water, when the weather is cloudy, or when demand exceeds capacity, it automatically switches to electric mode and heats up to 70°C and even in electric mode it remains more efficient than a conventional geyser. You set the temperature and timing via the intelligent digital controller, and a quick-heating option runs both the heat pump and the element together for instant hot water when you need it. It is a fully automatic system; it manages the switch between air and electric heating itself.

Built for hard water. The tank uses Racold's Titanium Plus coating for greater corrosion resistance, backed by a magnesium anode rod that corrodes in place of the tank. On the mineral-heavy water common across much of India, that protection is what earns the 5-year tank warranty. The tank handles up to 8 bar pressure and weighs 75 kg empty.
