The inner tank is SS-316 stainless steel the corrosion-resistant grade used in marine environments backed by a sacrificial anode rod that corrodes in place of the tank. Together they handle water hardness up to 1000 ppm, which sits above a standard FPC tank's 600 ppm limit and suits moderately hard supply.
