The Solis S6-GC80K is an 80kW three-phase on-grid solar inverter with eight MPPT trackers, 98.7% maximum efficiency, and an 8-year warranty, built for industrial rooftops, large commercial installations, and solar farm projects. Maximum apparent output is 88 kVA.
Eight MPPT trackers is the defining specification. Across an 80kW array spread over a large industrial site, panels face different directions, sit at different tilts, and fall under shade from plant structures, tanks, and adjacent buildings at different times of day. Eight independent trackers let each section generate at its own maximum instead of the whole plant being dragged down to its weakest string. At this scale, tracker granularity is the single biggest lever on delivered yield versus projected yield and across a 25-year asset life, that gap runs into lakhs.
98.7% efficiency at the top of the market. On an 80kW plant running for twenty-five years, the difference between 98.7% and a competitor's 98.2% is a measurable quantity of generation, every day, for the life of the asset. This is one of the highest conversion efficiencies available in commercial string inverters, and it is the first number an engineer evaluating this unit will check.
String configuration. The unit handles 8 × 50A short-circuit current across its trackers, with operating currents configured as 4 × (42 + 36) A, a wide 160-1000V MPPT range, and 1100V maximum PV input. That combination gives your design engineer real latitude in string layout across a complex site which matters when the array is large enough that a single uniform configuration is never possible.
The 8-year warranty on the single point of failure. In a plant this size the inverter fails before the panels, and its downtime stops an 80kW block of generation, not one string. Eight years of manufacturer cover is what protects the project economics through payback. At this scale, warranty length and service response are not features they are the bankability of the project.
Monitoring and installation. RS485 with optional Wi-Fi, GPRS, or PLC the PLC option being useful on large sites where running signal cable is impractical. At 93kg in a 1014 × 567 × 345mm cabinet, mounting and lifting need planning as part of the installation design.
Specification and supply at this scale. An 80kW inverter is one component in an engineered plant, not a purchase off a shelf. Array architecture, string sizing across eight MPPTs, cabling, protection, and metering are designed together. Send our team your project details roof or ground area, target capacity, load profile, and metering arrangement and we will coordinate specification and supply with our EPC partners.
SolarClue is India's managed solar marketplace. For industrial and solar-farm projects, our team coordinates specification, supply, and installation through verified EPC partners, and handles Solis warranty support through the asset life. You work with token-payment protection rather than full advance, and deal with one platform from design to commissioning. Solar
Energy in India
India has tremendous scope of generating
solar energy as the geographical location of the country can generate solar
energy. States like Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh,
Maharashtra, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, and West Bengal have great potential
for tapping solar energy due to their location. India is a tropical country and
it receives solar radiation almost throughout the year (almost all parts of
India receives 4-7 kWh of solar radiation per sq. meters), which amounts to
3,000 hours of sunshine. This is equal to more than 5,000 trillion kWh and
equivalent to 2,300–3,200 sunshine hours per year.
Solar energy is the best form of
energy to fulfill the power needs of India and bridge the energy demand-supply
gap. Since the majority of the population lives in rural areas of India, there
is much scope for solar energy being encouraged in these areas. And, most
importantly, the use of solar energy can reduce the use of firewood and dung
cakes by rural households.
